Muscovy Ducks are a common sight throughout Florida neighborhoods. They have been blamed for spreading diseases to humans and even duck lovers have complained about the problem of duck droppings on the lawns, driveways, patios, and even in their swimming pools.
They may be cute, they are causing a problem for some in the neighborhood.
Here in Captain’s Pointe, we are seeing more and more problems, such as:
- ducks perching on screen enclosures, defecating on the screens and even puncturing them
- dropping on sidewalks and driveways
- flying into windows and breaking them, causing a substantial cost to the homeowner
Please don’t feed the ducks in our neighborhood. Thank you for helping us keep Captain’s Pointe a clean and safe place for all of our residents.
